Songs for the Panhandle: A Community Concert for Hurricane Relief
Last week I had the honor of hosting Songs for the Panhandle, a concert to help those affected by Hurricane Michael. We partnered with United Way of the Big Bend to raise money for their hurricane relief fund.
The concert was held at Table 23 in Tallahassee — a restaurant and community gathering spot in midtown. Living in Nashville, I couldn't help but make this a songwriters in the round style event. The other artists featured were Royce Lovett, Colleen Nixon and Rachel Hillman.
It was a wonderful event where the community of Tallahassee came together to rally around a worthy cause and enjoy local songwriting talent. A special thank you to Stephanie Hayes Photography for capturing the evening!
Before the event, I had the chance to go on the local Tallahassee news (WCTV) to talk about the concert and share my song "You Lift Me Up." I talked about my connection with the Panhandle and my passion for creating Songs for the Panhandle.
If you would still like to donate to the United Way's Hurricane Michael relief fund, you can do so here.
Thank you to everyone who donated their time and talent to making this benefit concert a success! Check out their links below.
